MindBrain – Mental Health Clinic
Everything you think, feel, and do starts in the brain. What if we could actually see what's going on in your brain at the moment and use that to improve treatments for mental health? QEEG Brain Mapping accomplishes just that. It's a non-surgical and safe way of being aware of the electrical activity of your brain. No matter if you're fighting anxiety, ADHD, depression, or are just looking to perform at your best cognitive level, brain mapping places you at a clear advantage: clarity.
QEEG stands for Quantitative Electroencephalography. It's a brain EKG, a close monitor of what your brain waves are doing. We use a special head cap full of sensors and record the electrical activity of your brain and match it with a reference library of healthy brains the same age as you. By matching it, we can look at patterns that may be associated with emotional or thinking issues.
Assesses your sleep quality, attention, alertness, and stress level.
Indicates the extent to which various areas of your brain are chatting with one another.
May assist in identifying whether certain zones are moving too quickly, too slowly, or are out of phase.
Demonstrates how your brain reacts to stimulation, assisting with identifying sensory or anxiety difficulties.
Bipolar disorder has millions of sufferers all over the world, but many go for years before being diagnosed and properly treated. Being in a position to recognize the warning signs and access the assistance you require earlier can quite literally make all the difference.
The largest hurdle to mental health is the why of the symptoms. QEEG gives us the "why," and then we treat the cause, not the symptom.
No guessing. We customize your care plan from actual brain data.
Your brain is unique, so should your treatment.
No drug. No radiation. Just a measurement of real-time brainwaves.
We're all about combining neuroscience with compassion here at the Mind Brain Institute. When you come in for QEEG Brain Mapping, you're not receiving a scan; you're beginning the path to individualized, personalized brain-based recovery. We use FDA-approved tools and overseas databases to scan your brain function. Then our trained clinicians walk you through your map in plain English. We don't overwhelm; we educate. Your map can lead us to prescribe Neurofeedback, TMS therapy, or lifestyle interventions that are tailor-made for your brain's individual needs. No one-size-fits-all clinic here. This is personalized mental health care.
We've kept the process easy, informative, and empowering. From start to finish, we try to tailor-make you more conscious of your brain and empower you to make decisions with confidence.
We begin by examining your goals, issues, and medical history.
We work with brain data, not surveys.
Want to know if something is improving? Remap and see the difference.
Educate yourself about your own brain and how to nurture it better.
QEEG Brain Mapping is ideal for people of all ages, from children to older adults. It’s especially helpful if:
Assesses your sleep quality, attention, alertness, and stress level.
Indicates the extent to which various areas of your brain are chatting with one another.
May assist in identifying whether certain zones are moving too quickly, too slowly, or are out of phase.
Demonstrates how your brain reacts to stimulation, assisting with identifying sensory or anxiety difficulties.
Treatment for PTSD at Mind Brain Institute is comprised of advanced, science-backed non-invasive therapies which have proven to be effective and safe as per your unique brain patterns:
This therapy helps your brain "relearn" healthy habits. Through immediate feedback, you become increasingly responsible for your emotional and mental reactions, bringing balance and peace.
HRV (Heart Rate Variability) Biofeedback conditions your mind and body to better deal with stress. It maximizes your ability to deal with anxiety, fear, and panic through an optimal heart-brain interface.
We perform a Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) before treatment to familiarize ourselves with your brain function. To design a specific treatment plan, this brain map locates pathological patterns of activity that can lead to PTSD symptoms.
This non-invasive treatment has been found to be really effective in breaking free from PTSD. In TMS, mild magnetic pulses are used to stimulate brain areas related to trauma and mood.
A well-administered doses of ketamine under medical supervision ease emotional distress and enhances brain plasticity, eventually leading to a reduction in PTSD symptoms. The effect increases when combined with therapy.
Our medical yoga and Tibetan sound healing sessions are designed to help you reduce anxiety, calm the nervous system, and create a divine connection between your mind and body. Both these activities will be an essential part of your recovery.
QEEG is extremely safe. The sensors are only receiving brain signals; no matter what they're doing, they don't introduce anything into your body. No electricity, no radiation, and no medication. Even babies and older adults can lie down and undergo QEEG at ease without getting hurt.
There have been no lasting side effects of QEEG Brain Mapping. At worst, some people may feel a little drained afterward, especially if they were completely relaxed during the test. You may also need to wash your hair due to the conductive gel used during mapping. But do not worry, this is one of the safest brain tests around.
An MRI or CT scan looks at the brain’s structure. QEEG tells us what the brain was doing at the time.
No. You simply wear a cap as we capture the spontaneous electrical activity of your brain. Most people find it relaxing.
We ask you to come in with dry, clean hair and not consume caffeine or stimulants on the day of your session.
Yes. We break it down in simple, nontechnical terms, and we’ll walk you through every segment of your brain map.
